It’s always a wonderful moment for the fans when their favourite team enters the arena. This year, the endgame of the Final Four of the EHF-Cup was held in Berlin, and Potsdamer Feuerwerk was responsible for the fantastic show around it.
The task was to accompany the teams’ entering of the stadium, including that of the host team, the Berlin Foxes (Füchse Berlin) and of the three competing teams on the two days of the event, as well as firing up the winner’s ceremony.
The overall conceptual design of the impressive show was done by Potsdamer Feuerwerk together with Stage Entertainment and the TSE AG. Potsdamer Feuerwerk was responsible for the conception and artistic realization of the pyrotechnic, laser, fire and special effects elements, as well as lending support to the host in the overall direction of the show.
The spectators were rewarded with a breathtaking opening ceremony, with a further highlight being the presentation of the Cup. Accompanied by lights, lasers, fire, spectacular street-dance artists and bouncing music, a rider on the horse named „Joey“ from the musical production of „War Horse“ carried the Cup into the arena of Berlin’s Max-Schmeling-Hall.
True to the motto of „saving the best to last“, the finale was crowned by a pyrotechnic sequence with more than 400 ignition points in only 20 seconds. On Saturday and Sunday, each team was welcomed to the playing field with a spectacular show of light, lasers and fire. Even though the hosts didn’t manage to carry off the cup in the end, the winner was certainly celebrated in style. Several Confetti-Boosters and Stadium Shots set another highlight and provided great press photos and a amazing finish for the exhausting Final-Four-weekend.
